The brand new Alpride E1 is a fully electronic avalanche airbag,
its supercapacitor technology replace the traditional Li-ion battery
and results in the lightest electronical device on the market.

Same performance
from -30°C to +40°C
Supercapacitors are capable of storing electrical energy without any chemical reaction (unlike lithium-ion or lithium-poly batteries) and are thus not sensitive to lower temperatures, meaning you get the same performance from -30°C to +40°C. Supercapacitors are also lighter than “traditional” batteries.

The supercapacitors in the E1 can be recharged with two AA batteries in just 40 minutes, the easiest solution in the mountains, far away from electrical outlets and civilisation.
RECHARGE WITH USB
Multiple inflation for user practice and zero cost
The E1 can also be recharged using a micro-USB port in 20 minutes (with a standard charger or any USB-compatible energy source: powerbank, solar, etc.). You can practice inflating the airbag as much as you want and without any cost in terms of recharging or changing cartridges.

Each time the E1 system is turned on, the electronics perform a self-test to check the function of more than 15 parameters and components of the E1. The LEDs visible from the outside of the bag indicate the status and charge level of the E1 system: The utmost safety guaranteed.
